Its story
Lifestyle
It licks its honey-soaked paws to calm down, and its face mark glows when it finds honey. It lives in the mountains, stores food for winter, and evolves into Ursaring, then Ursaluna.
In the anime
A sly Teddiursa acted cute to steal food. After battling Ash's Chikorita, it evolved into Ursaring and could no longer charm people.
Name origin
Teddiursa blends teddy bear and ursa, Latin for bear. It is based on a bear cub, especially the Asian black bear and its crescent moon.
Did you know?
- It has a unique FireRed and LeafGreen sprite, aside from Deoxys, but is not found in the wild.
- With Phanpy, it is the only Pokémon whose version exclusivity swaps between localizations.
- The honey it drops is not among its favorite foods in Legends: Arceus.
