It is responsible for the Terastal phenomenon. Thought extinct two million years ago, one specimen hibernated, crystallized, beneath Area Zero.
In the anime
Rystal's Pokémon, released when she died, it travels with the Rising Volt Tacklers. Liko catches it, then releases it to heal Laqua.
Name origin
Heath discovered it and coined its name. Terapagos may come from Terastallization and the Galápagos Islands, known for their giant tortoises.
