Appearance

It evolves from Kubfu according to the scroll it reads: Single Strike Style charges in fury, or Rapid Strike Style flows like a river.
In the anime
In the series, Single Strike Style appears alongside Quillon, and Rapid Strike Style with Danika.
Name origin
Yusuke Ohmura based it on an Asian black bear and wushu, hard like Bajiquan or soft like Taijiquan. Urshifu may come from ursus and shifu.
