Uxie is a small light-gray, teardrop-shaped Pokémon with closed eyes. Two tails end in red-jeweled leaves, and a yellow four-bump helmet echoes a brain.

Lifestyle
Seeing its eyes can erase memory. Guardian of Lake Acuity, it created all knowledge in the Pokémon world. Very shy, it strikes hard if its friends are threatened.
In the anime
Captured by J and Team Galactic, it is freed by Brock's Croagunk and Ash's Gliscor, then helps stop Cyrus's plan.
Name origin
The design echoes a pixie or fairy. Uxie may blend the U of UMA with pixie. It also matches the Yata no Kagami, a mirror of wisdom.
Did you know?
- Its spirit can leave its body without dying and return at will.
- With the other two guardians, it is needed to forge or destroy a Red Chain.
- Together they can calm an enraged Dialga or Palkia, but not both at once.
