A playful guardian of Lake Verity, once the Being of Emotion, it taught sorrow, pain, and joy. Its spirit can leave its body without dying.

Captured by J and Team Galactic, it breaks free with help from Dawn's Piplup and Cynthia's Garchomp, then helps stop Cyrus's plan.
Name origin
Its name may blend the M of UMA, a word for a cryptid, with spirit. Among Japan's Three Sacred Treasures, it would be the magatama of benevolence.
