Appearance
Anorith is a greenish-gray arthropod that calls to mind an Anomalocaris. Two stalked round eyes, an X-shaped mouth, and two large claws; eight white, red-tipped appendages drive it through the water.

Its story
Lifestyle
Extinct in the wild, it lived in the seas of one hundred million years ago. It is restored from a Claw Fossil. Its eight wings, like oars, let it swim. It evolves into Armaldo.
In the anime
On Wales Island it appears among the Hoenn Fossil Pokémon studied by Professor Proctor and Annie Proctor, and later it evolves into Armaldo.
Name origin
It is closely based on Anomalocaris, with trilobite traits, and resembles a brine shrimp. Anorith may combine Anomalocaris, anorthosite, and -lith, a suffix for stone.
