Bastiodon looks like a ceratopsian dinosaur crossed with a bulldozer. Its dark gray square head resembles a wall, with cream spots, spikes, and large blunt tusks.

Lifestyle
Docile and plant-eating, it lived in herds 100 million years ago, in the same habitats as Rampardos. Its diamond-hard face repels any attack, and it evolves from Shieldon.
In the anime
Byron's Bastiodon battles Roark's Rampardos until Team Rocket stops the fight. Against Ash, it defeats Chimchar, then loses to Gliscor.
Name origin
The design draws on a ceratopsian, especially a Chasmosaurus head, and a fortress: horns and tusks resemble a portcullis. Bastiodon may blend bastion and the Greek word for tooth.
