Its story
Lifestyle
Highly territorial, the group cooperates with no confirmed queen. It evolves from Kakuna, flies fast, and stings with its legs and abdomen; Mega Beedrill has six wings and longer stingers.
In the anime
Beedrill that had just evolved from Kakuna steal Ash's Metapod to avenge a Weedle he startled.
Name origin
Atsuko Nishida designed the line; Hitoshi Ariga, the Mega form. It suggests a bee or wasp. Beedrill joins bee and drill.
