Its story
Lifestyle
Born from Shellder by a stone, it is rare, nests among rocks and coral, and hunts Slowpoke tails on land. Even shut, it can still fire its spikes.
In the anime
A wild Cloyster swallowed Jessie's Poké Ball, splashed Team Rocket, then swam off after spitting the Ball out.
Name origin
Ken Sugimori designed it after a Spondylus bivalve, with a black pearl for a head. Cloyster blends clam, oyster, and cloister, the idea of secluding oneself.
