Appearance
Darmanitan is stocky and ape-like, mostly red, with flame-like eyebrows and large hands. In Zen Mode it turns blue, its limbs fuse to its body, and it grows hard as rock.

Its story
Lifestyle
Its inner fire can reach 1,400 °C, and one punch can destroy a dump truck. In Zen Mode it cannot move and meditates to manage daily life.
In the anime
Goh catches a Darmanitan guarding the Colossus Ruins, then uses it against a giant Golurk. Another keeps a bell aloft after entering Zen Mode.
Name origin
It draws on the Daruma doll burned in a ceremony; those burned dolls looked like gorillas. Darmanitan may blend dharma with orangutan.
