Deoxys is a humanoid from beyond the world, with a purple crystal organ, sometimes green, on its chest. Its face has a blue oval crossed by purple, and at rest it becomes a triangular stone tablet.

Lifestyle
Born from an alien virus mutated by a laser, it changes form according to danger and regenerates lost parts. It speaks to other Deoxys through auroras and rivals Rayquaza in space.
In the anime
In Destiny Deoxys, a purple-crystal one searches for the green-crystal one all the way to LaRousse City. Later, Pikachu and Piplup help gather its fragments on an island.
Name origin
The initials of Defense, Normal and Attack spell DNA, like its Japanese category name. Its name, the same in English and French, may come from deoxyribonucleic acid and the probe Neodys.
