Its story
Lifestyle
It hibernates for most of its life and wakes only seven days every thousand years, or if a pure voice sings to it. Awake, it grants wishes.
In the anime
In the film, it looks for a friend during the Millennium Comet: that honor goes to Max, then it falls asleep again.
Name origin
A star-shaped head, Tanabata tags, and comet streamers suggest a wish. The name may join Russian zhelat, “to wish,” Arabic jinn, and Japanese sachi, “fortune.”

- It can still fight while asleep, wrapped in its streamers like a baby.
- Seawater in the shape of Kyogre, or a monstrous copy of Groudon: two uses of its power.
- It also slumbers in space and, though extremely rare, can be found in the mountains.
