Its story
Lifestyle
Born of a spontaneous mutation of Carbink, it creates diamonds by compressing carbon. It lives among Carbink in a jewel kingdom and can Mega Evolve.
In the anime
The main character of a short, then important in the film, Diancie sets out to find Xerneas.
Name origin
Diancie may come from diamond, fancy, and ishi, “stone.” Its princess look echoes a princess-cut diamond and the carbuncle.
