Lifestyle
Ho-Oh revived Entei after the Brass Tower fire, and Entei represents that fire. When it roars, a volcano erupts, and its flames are hotter than magma.
In the anime
An illusory Entei first appeared as Molly Hale's guardian after her wish to the Unown. Lucius's Entei was actually a Gouging Fire.
Name origin
Muneo Saitō designed Entei as a lion king with volcanic smoke rising behind it. Its name joins the Japanese words for flame and emperor.
