Its story
Lifestyle
It runs across water and purifies it with one touch. Calm and heroic, it follows the north wind to cleanse water, then sleeps where the water is already clean.
In the anime
Ash first sees it as a blue silhouette. Later Suicune calms overrun Ecruteak and drives Team Rocket off. Eusine tries to catch it and has pursued it ever since.
Name origin
Saitō gave it leopard-like traits. It suggests a qilin and Fūjin, god of wind. Suicune may come from sui, "water," suishō, "crystal," and kun, "monarch."
Did you know?
- One hundred and fifty years ago, Ho-Oh revived it after the Brass Tower fire.
- It is said to be closest to Ho-Oh and to share a cooperative bond with Unown.
- Walking Wake resembles it: a super-ancient Suicune, an ancestor or a counterpart from another time.
