Lifestyle
Deeply loyal, it reads the air with its fur to foresee weather and foes. It evolves from Eevee, charges in sunlight, and fights poorly at night.
In the anime
Sakura's Eevee evolved into Espeon, which is how the species first appeared.
Name origin
Espeon may blend ESP, extrasensory perception, and eon, the suffix of Eevee's evolutions. Its forked tail and clairvoyance echo the nekomata and the mythical lynx.
