Appearance
Flygon is a lime-green bipedal dragon with an insect-like outline and large red-trimmed diamond wings. Two antenna-like appendages sweep back, and translucent red covers shield its eyes from sand.

Its story
Lifestyle
Called the Desert Spirit, flapping its wings raises a concealing sandstorm and a song that lures prey. It evolves from Vibrava and is Trapinch’s final form.
In the anime
Goh catches one while investigating a sandstorm in Mauville City. Raihan’s Flygon later defeats Ash’s Dragonite, then loses to his Gigantamax Gengar.
Name origin
Flygon may blend fly and dragon, or turn dragonfly around. The design suggests the winged adult antlion, often mistaken for a dragonfly, on a European dragon’s body.
