Appearance
Foongus is a white, mushroom-like Pokémon whose cap looks very much like a Poké Ball. It has short arms without fingers, a tiny mouth with large pink lips, and dark pinprick eyes.

Its story
Lifestyle
In grass, its cap draws in people and Pokémon, then it releases poisonous spores. It hops, or tips onto its side and rolls on its cap, and evolves into Amoonguss.
In the anime
Several Foongus poison Ash and his friends' Pokémon after Scraggy strikes one. On a deserted island, another attacks Dawn when she comes too close.
Name origin
Foongus may combine fool and fungus. It bears the full Poké Ball pattern, center button included, and suggests poisonous mushrooms.
