Appearance
Gligar is purple, halfway between a bat and a scorpion, with large pincers, blue clawed wings, and a tail of round sections ending in a stinger. That stinger is smaller on the female.

Its story
Lifestyle
It glides silently, then flies straight to clamp onto a face and sting with its poisonous stinger. It nests on cliffs in boreal mountains and evolves into Gliscor.
In the anime
Ash catches his, which uses sound waves to avoid obstacles, then it evolves. The species first appears as sidekick to the superhero Gligarman.
Name origin
The design blends a bat and a scorpion, and may suggest a gargoyle or H. R. Giger's alien. Gligar may combine glide and gargoyle.

- It feeds on Berries and resists venom itself.
