Myths call it a maker of lands that expands continents with magma and summons sunlight strong enough to clear the clouds. Rayquaza sealed its war with Kyogre.

Team Aqua holds it without the right orb and plans to trade it for Team Magma's Kyogre. The battle follows Archie's choice.
Name origin
Its body suggests the land, volcanoes, and a dinosaur armored like ankylosaurs, set against the sea's Leviathan. Its name may come from ground, "soil," and don, used for dinosaurs in Japan.
