Lifestyle
It hides in the dark, fears light, and passes through walls. Its gaseous tongue licks prey until death. It evolves from Gastly into Gengar.

Ash befriended one to face Sabrina, but it preferred to clown around, make her laugh, then stay with her.
Name origin
Haunter comes from haunt plus -er, or from hunter. It stands for a ghost only partly crossed into the living world, like the yōkai akaguchi.
