Heatmor is a biped that looks like an anteater. Its face is beige, its fur is red with yellow stripes like molten lava, and its hollow upward tail has a hole like a muffler.

Its story
Lifestyle
Durant is its favorite prey. It sends flames from its mouth like a tongue to burn through Durant's steel body, and air drawn in through the tail feeds that fire.
In the anime
Alongside Shamus's Emboar, it defeats Ash's Snivy, then loses when Tepig evolves into Pignite. Manning's Heatmor later falls to Trip and his Serperior.
Name origin
Ken Sugimori designed it with Durant: an anteater crossed with ironworks, wrists like air-filter intakes. Heatmor may blend heat and armor, and it plays on "eat more."
Did you know?
- If the hole in its tail gets blocked, Heatmor grows ill.
- Its tail can also push gases out.
- Its Fire type may have been chosen to threaten its Bug- and Steel-type rival.
