Heliolisk is a yellow bipedal lizard with a black head, blue eyes, and a black frill edged with orange spikes. Orange bands circle its legs, and its long tail shifts from orange to black.

Its story
Lifestyle
With its frill open in the sun, it can power a whole city and run on water. It evolves from Helioptile with a Sun Stone.
In the anime
Clemont's Heliolisk is used mainly in Gym battles. Clemont leaves it with Clembot, who uses it while he is away.
Name origin
Its frill links it to the frilled lizard and, from the front, to the sun. Heliolisk joins the Greek hḗlios, "sun", and basilisk.
