Appearance
Tyrunt is a grayish-brown bipedal dinosaur with a large head and blunt snout. Two orange spikes crown its skull, white feathers bristle around its neck, and its short tail bears a spike.

Its story
Lifestyle
Selfish and spoiled, it throws violent tantrums, and its jaws can shred an automobile. It lived one hundred million years ago and evolves into Tyrantrum.
In the anime
Grant's Tyrunt defeats Ash's Froakie and Fletchling, then Pikachu brings it down. Another, stolen by Team Rocket, evolves to save Bonnie.
Name origin
Hitoshi Ariga designed it after a juvenile Tyrannosaurus. Tyrunt may blend Tyrannosaurus or tyrant with runt.
Did you know?
- While asleep, it sometimes bites whatever is nearby, as if dreaming of playing.
- While playing, it can hurt others without meaning to, even its own Trainer.
- Some theories say its shape may have been different back then.
