Wrapped in flame, it strikes with every limb at unmatched speed. It evolves from Monferno and is Chimchar's final form.
In the anime
Ash's Monferno becomes Infernape while saving Ash's Pikachu, Dawn's Piplup, Paul's Electabuzz, and Barry's Empoleon.
Name origin
Takao Unno drew on a monkey, Sun Wukong, and Monkey Kung Fu. The English name may combine inferno and ape.
