Appearance

Jigglypuff is a pink, almost round Pokémon filled with air. It has large ears black inside, big blue eyes, stubby arms, and a curled tuft on its head.

Lifestyle

It can deflate or float, and its lullaby puts listeners to sleep, even if it sings until its air runs out. It lives in plains and goes from Igglybuff to Wigglytuff by Moon Stone.

In the anime

It followed Ash through the end of the original series and scribbled on the faces of anyone its song put to sleep. After Johto, it mainly returned in Alola, asleep on Ash's plane.

Name origin

Its body suggests a balloon, a sleep-aiding plush, or a cream puff. Jigglypuff blends jiggly and puff; the Japanese Purin points to pudding.
