Its story
Lifestyle
In warm seas it blended with seaweed, tangled prey, and swallowed it whole. Gone for one hundred million years, it returns from a Root Fossil and evolves into Cradily.
Name origin
Its model is the crinoid, or sea lily, kin to starfish. Lileep may blend lily with deep, sleep, creep, or peep.

- Its tentacles also recall those of the sea anemone.
- Very abundant crinoid fossils may have inspired its Fossil Pokémon status.
- Four short roots anchor it to the rock.
