Its story
Lifestyle
Nocturnal, it sleeps by day and tugs fishing lines to startle people. It eats river moss, stays out at night to avoid bird Pokémon, and evolves from Lotad into Ludicolo.
In the anime
Brock’s Lotad becomes a Lombre. Villagers believe it can bring water back to their village, before it evolves into Ludicolo.
Name origin
It draws on the lily pad, the straw-hatted shibaten, and a mariachi dancer. Lombre may join lotus, sombrero, and hombre, Spanish for man.
