Lifestyle
They usually live on the deep seafloor in schools, walking on their fins to avoid predators. Flashing markings draw prey and hunters; Lumineon evolves from Finneon.
In the anime
Its glowing fins lure other Pokémon in its first appearance. Zoey's, evolved from Finneon, joins Gastrodon in a Double Performance at the Sinnoh Grand Festival.
Name origin
It blends a butterflyfish, butterfly wings, a tripod fish's walk, hatchetfish light, and a fighting fish's fins. Lumineon may come from luminous and neon.
Did you know?
- With Finneon, it is the only Generation IV Pokémon with a fish body.
