Lifestyle
Its inner heat can pass 18,000 °F, so water evaporates on contact. The shell breaks easily, but it rebuilds itself in magma. It evolves from Slugma.
In the anime
Flannery's Magcargo, nicknamed Mag, opens her Gym battle against Ash. It loses to Ash's Corphish after a hard fight.
Name origin
It suggests a lava snail with a rock shell, and Chile's Cherufe, linked to earthquakes. Magcargo blends magma, escargot, and cargo.
