Appearance

Manectric is a blue, four-legged canine Pokémon. Its stiff yellow mane rises in three points, with yellow tufts, red eyes, a jagged jaw, and a bent blue tail.

Lifestyle

Rarely seen in grasslands and savannas, it stores electricity in its mane, then makes thunderclouds. It evolves from Electrike and can Mega Evolve.

In the anime

Wattson’s Manectric evolves from Electrike and beats Ash’s Torkoal. In Kalos, Officer Jenny’s officers mostly rely on Manectric.

Name origin

It shares traits with a dog and the yōkai Raijū, a lightning spirit sometimes shown as a blue wolf. Manectric may combine mane and electric.
