A sticky film lets it live on land, yet it is most at ease and faster in swamp mud. It evolves from Mudkip and evolves into Swampert.
In the anime
Brock's Mudkip becomes Marshtomp and stays on his team until Pewter City. Nicholai's loses to Ash's Treecko.
Name origin
Its design suggests a mudpuppy or a mudskipper, and the head fin recalls a gladiator helmet. Marshtomp may combine marsh and stomp.
