Calm, it uses its deadly poison only when cornered. It lives in savannas, every member is female, and it evolves into Nidorina, then Nidoqueen.

Emily's Nidoran♀, named Maria, loved Ralph's Nidoran♂. A kiss after Team Rocket made her evolve into Nidorina.
Name origin
Ken Sugimori designed it from hares and the Al-Mi'raj. The name may come from needle, and the ♀ symbol marks the female.
