Appearance
Oddish looks like a blue bulb: a round body, beady red eyes, a tiny mouth, and ovoid feet. Five large prehensile green leaves grow from its head.

Its story
Lifestyle
Nocturnal, it buries itself by day. In moonlight it grows and may travel 300 meters to scatter seeds. It evolves into Gloom, then Vileplume or Bellossom.
In the anime
Mariah's Oddish longs to fly with its Hoppip friends and tries to dye itself pink. It never flies, but it defeats Team Rocket on its own.
Name origin
Oddish may come from odd and radish, or from oddish, meaning somewhat odd. It suggests the mandrake, onion, or radish, and was designed by Atsuko Nishida.
