A small bluish-white squirrel Pokémon. A light blue stripe runs from its forehead to the tail tip, shorter on females. Its huge tail has three spikes, and a yellow circle marks each cheek.

Its story
Lifestyle
Very fast, it quickly tires out pursuers. It sleeps with its tail as a pillow, hides berries in charged fur balls, and lives in treetops, wood edges, or near power plants.
In the anime
Dawn caught the first Pachirisu, playful and hyperactive. Another, with a Patrat and a Sentret, was scared by an Ursaring, then saved by Hawlucha, the forest champion.
Name origin
It evokes the red squirrel of Hokkaido, the island that inspired Sinnoh, and its tail spikes recall hair raised by static. Its name blends pachipachi, a crackling sound, and risu, "squirrel."
