Its story
Lifestyle
It is rarely seen, but it usually lives at the water's edge. It leads Poliwag and Poliwhirl, evolves from Poliwhirl, and its curl proves its rank as king.
In the anime
Misty's Politoed is born when her Poliwhirl evolves. So cheerful, it sometimes loses focus in battle and starts clapping.
Name origin
Its frog shape, king status, and the King's Rock echo a prince or a king turned into a frog. Politoed joins polliwog, an old word for tadpole, and toad.
