Appearance
Poliwrath is a blue, bipedal amphibian, round and muscular. Bulbous eyes stick out, a spiral covers its belly, and its hands look white-gloved.

Lifestyle
Nearly all muscle, it swims vast distances without tiring. A square punch crushes a boulder to dust; it evolves from Poliwhirl by a stone.

Tad's Poliwrath beats Ash's Pikachu and Charizard, then loses the rematch.
Name origin
A tadpole Pokémon that may never become a frog, its body suggests a muscular swimmer. Poliwrath joins polliwog, an old word for tadpole, and wrath.
