Lifestyle
The slightest look makes it furious, and that rage makes it stronger but less clear-headed. It lives in the mountains, chases whoever upset it, likes bananas, and evolves from Mankey.
In the anime
Ash's Primeape comes from the Mankey that stole his hat, and Ash catches it. It later trains with Anthony to become a P1 league champion.
Name origin
It suggests the pig-tailed macaque, baboons, and snub-nosed monkeys, for whom a stare is a threat. Primeape blends prime, primate, and ape.
