Appearance
Sceptile is a bipedal reptile with a long neck and two crests. Its yellow eyes are rimmed in red, yellow seeds cover its back, and its tail looks like a palm branch.

Lifestyle
A jungle dweller with no equal in combat, it can cut down thick trees yet cares for plants. It is Treecko's final form, after Grovyle, and can Mega Evolve.
In the anime
Ash's Grovyle becomes Sceptile while trying to save a Meganium it has a crush on. Sawyer's can later Mega Evolve.
Name origin
Sceptile may combine reptile with scepter, scissors, or the fern Sceptridium. Its look comes from leaf-tailed geckos and a dinosaur like Dilophosaurus.

- As Mega Sceptile, it fires a piece of its tail like a missile, and the tail regrows.
- While it sleeps, its seeds are said to help nearby saplings grow.
