Lifestyle
It loves sweet foods, which fuel the flame inside its body. When excited, it heats up and scatters embers from its tail and head tuft. It evolves from Pansear.
In the anime
Watchog guarding an apple tree knock it from a tree. Angry, it attacks Emolga, Axew, and Oshawott, then calms down after Emolga and Snivy save it from a boulder.
Name origin
It suggests a monkey, a flame, and an active volcano. Its large ears stand for “hear no evil” among the three wise monkeys, and the name may blend simian, sear, and ear.
