Solrock is a mainly orange, spherical Pokémon with eight yellow rocky spines. Thick yellow eyelids show black sclerae, red pupils, and a black six-point ring around each eye.

Lifestyle
By day it absorbs solar energy in groups; its unchanging face still senses emotions and thoughts. Spinning, it gives off intense heat and blinding light, floats silently in caves, and does not evolve.
In the anime
Villagers blame a wild Solrock for a drought, while Team Rocket is stealing their water. It clears its name by helping drive Team Rocket off.
Name origin
The design suggests the Sun and a meteorite, and the squinted eyes recall snow goggles. The name joins solar and rock.
