Those bounces keep its heart beating, even in sleep. The pearl strengthens its psychic power; without one, it weakens. It lives in the mountains and evolves into Grumpig.

Ash and his friends help recover Spoink's lost pearl. Later, one Spoink helps Ash free its friends from a bully Grumpig.
Name origin
Spoink joins spring and oink, a pig's grunt. It suggests a piglet and a jack-in-the-box.
