Playful and rough, it bites anything it sees, even its Trainer. Scarce near rivers and lakes, it evolves into Croconaw, then Feraligatr.
In the anime
Ash catches it after a duel with Misty. It stays with him through Johto, then he leaves it at Professor Oak's lab before Hoenn.
Name origin
Totodile may blend tot, a small child, and crocodile. It looks like a baby crocodile, with a chest mark like a young alligator.
