Lifestyle
When angry, it sets almost anything ablaze and makes explosions by rubbing its fur. It evolves from Quilava and, rarely, lives on grasslands.
In the anime
Jimmy's first partner, received from Professor Elm as a Cyndaquil, debuts in The Legend of Thunder!. Mr. Moore later sends one to stop Team Rocket from taking Flannery's Torkoal.
Name origin
Typhlosion joins typhoon and explosion. Its build recalls badgers and wolverines, and its flames suggest porcupine quills; standing up, it looks like a volcano.

- Asleep, it tosses and turns, and that rubbing can set off explosions by accident.
