Its story
Lifestyle
Through its roots it controls other trees. It traps those who harm its forest, is kind to woodland creatures, and hates Fire types. It evolves from Phantump.
In the anime
It first kidnaps Ash to save Bonsly and Sudowoodo, trapped by Team Rocket. Later, a Totem nicknamed Elder gives Ash a Firium Z.
Name origin
James Turner designed it with Phantump. It may be a kodama and a fierce forest guardian. Trevenant may blend tree, revenant, and treant.

- Some believe it has eaten people, though no one knows if that is true.
- Its silhouette echoes the kanji 木, meaning tree.
