Its story
Lifestyle
Its red and yellow warn that it is poisonous. Hidden in forests, it eats its own weight in leaves each day and evolves into Kakuna, then Beedrill.
In the anime
Ash nearly caught one, but it fled and led the others to attack in revenge for the attempt.
Name origin
It suggests a wasp or bee larva, along with needles and stings. Weedle joins worm and needle.

- The stinger on its head is five centimeters long.
- A real wasp, Stentorceps weedlei, was named after it.
