Weak and often eaten, it calls its friends: its eyes shine almost 25 miles away. This demon of the sea scares off even Gyarados, then splits apart if wounded.

Name origin
It echoes the Pacific sardine and the flashlight fish; the school suggests a submarine. Wishiwashi blends wishy-washy, wash, and iwashi, sardine.
