Its story
Lifestyle
It lives in cold water and sleeps half-buried in mud. Timid, it stays close to Quagsire. It evolves into Quagsire.
In the anime
In the XY series, a Wooper is close friends with Ash's Goodra, between Lumiose City and Laverre City.
Name origin
It is based on the axolotl, a larval salamander that keeps its gills. Wooper comes from wooper looper, a Japanese marketing term for the axolotl.
